ALZET pumps are used for continuous delivery of a wide range of experimental agents, including antibodies, growth factors, cytokines, chemotherapeutics, addictive drugs, hormones, steroids and more. The delivery rate of ALZET pumps is controlled by the water permeability of the outer membrane, and it is independent of the drug formulation being delivered. Compounds of various molecular configurations, including ionized drugs and macromolecules, can be successfully administered at predictable rates.
