DeVos SL and Miller TM. Direct intraventricular delivery of drugs to the rodent central nervous system. J Vis Exp. 2013 May 12;(75):e50326. doi:10.3791/50326.

This video article (JoVE) describes a method for targeted administration of drugs to the central nervous system by either continuous delivery using ALZET Osmotic Pumps or performing bolus injections into the right lateral ventricle of mice. Researchers at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine focused specifically on the delivery of antisense oligonucleotides to mice. However, this technique is readily adaptable to other drugs and other rodent species (i.e., rats).
